Now before the women begin sending me mean messages (and before the guys get all excited)…I am just a writer, a messenger kind of. Do not come after me for what you are about to read ; )

There have been several medical study groups that have reported a finding that women, who perform oral sex…and swallowed regularly, would have less risk of developing a life threatening condition during pregnancy called Preeclampsia.

Preeclampsia is a medical condition that causes the woman to develop hypertension (high blood pressure) during her pregnancy in addition to significant amounts of protein in her urine. This condition is very serious and may be life threatening to both the mother and the baby if not properly monitored. Preeclampsia can develop as early as 20 weeks gestation and its progression varies among mothers. Although many cases are considered "cured" once the baby and placenta have been delivered, mothers who develop preeclampsia may have symptoms that continue through the first six weeks post-partum.

Researchers are recognizing a suggested theory that it is important for a pregnant woman to be exposed to her partner's semen throughout the pregnancy due to immune-modulating effects from the semen.  Although the woman is carrying the fetus and placenta, her body may see this as being foreign and her immune system may fight against it because of the existence of genes that are from the baby's father. A woman who has "regular" exposure to her partner's semen will help her immune system become more accustomed to the proteins in his…uh man juice (sorry, I couldn't help it). Another factor behind this theory is that researchers believe that the proteins in semen have a significant effect on lowering blood pressure.

***Editorial SideNote: Hmmm, better yet, Let me keep my comments to myself on this one :P
